If you’re looking to brighten the skin in your underarms,
we’ve got some easy tips and
home remedies that’ll have you completely
ditching the long sleeves.
Believe it or not, the skin under your arms
can get clogged by dirt
and even dead skin cells, making it appear dark.
A great way to get rid of this darkness
is exfoliating. Mix a spoonful of sugar with
some dried orange peels and some coconut oil
and use this as an at least exfoliator once
or twice a week. Sugar and orange peels are
a great exfoliator and help get rid of dead
skin cells while the coconut oil moisturises the skin.
Your underarms also deserve the same amount
of care and attention you give your face.
After exfoliating, take some gram flour, a
pinch of turmeric and add some lemon juice to it.
Lemon is a great bleaching agent and
when mixed with turmeric and gram flour,
the mixture can reduce dark pigmentation in a few uses.
Apply this for 15 minutes before washing it off.
Nobody wants to walk around with a sweat stain
on their t-shirt. But did you know that the
fabric of your clothes are making you sweat
more? Silk blends and polyester can trap heat
and make you sweat more which can cause irritable rashes
Wearing breathable fabric like cotton
or linen can allow your underarms to cool
properly and keep you sweat and rash free.
Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 2 tablespoons
of arrowroot powder with some coconut oil
and a few drops of peppermint and lavender
essential oil. Coconut oil has great antibacterial
properties while the baking soda fights odour
and the arrowroot powder keeps your skin sweat-free.
Natural deodorant can be a great alternative
if you want to move away from store brought products
that might damaging your skin.
If you’re looking for a natural alternative for talcum powder,
simply mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 6 spoons
of cornstarch and dust it onto your underarm area.
Baking soda is great to fight unwanted odours
and cornstarch absorbs moisture
and reduces sweat, making you smell fresh all day long.
The best way to soothe and condition your skin
after shaving is to apply a moisturiser.
Take a small amount of aloe vera gel and apply it to the
affected area to reduce any redness or irritation.
The soothing properties in aloe vera not only calm the
skin but also hydrate and brighten it.
Stretch marks around the underarms are an
extremely common skin issue that most women face.
But you don’t need to break the bank
to find an effective stretch mark cream.
Mix ¼ cup of cocoa butter, 2 tablespoons of almond
and olive oil, some lemon juice,
5 vitamin E capsules and a teaspoon of honey and apply
it to the affected area. The nourishing and
anti-ageing properties of these ingredients
not only help stretch marks but also moisturise and heal the skin.
Your skin should always be treated with love
and care and we hope that with these easy hacks you'll
be ready to flaunt tank tops and halters all summer long!
Until next time, stay tuned and stay Glamrs.
