It’s no secret that Korean beauty trends
changed the skincare game and made us all
strive for that perfect, smooth glass skin
and glowing complexion.
So we’ve got a routine for you that’s
amazing on the face and easy on the pockets
because all you need is a few DIY ingredients!
Start with an oil based cleanser to help dissolve
oily impurities and any left over makeup.
You can use olive oil, jojoba oil or sweet almond oil on a
cotton pad to gently get rid of
any gunk inside your pores.
These oils are gentle on your skin and
won’t clog your pores either.
Instead they will effectively clean under
the surface of your skin where a water based
cleanser might not be able to penetrate!
Now you can move on to a water based cleanser to
remove the oil residue and dirt!
All you need is a dollop of honey mixed with
a few drops of water or milk as your very
own simple as can be cleanser!
Apply it to your face in round movements and
then wash it off with some warm water.
Honey will keep your skin nourished while
also getting rid of any impurities!
Mix together a spoon of gram flour with a
spoon of multani mitti, take a little of this
mixture in your hands and add a few drops
of water to form a paste.
Now you can use it to exfoliate your face.
The gentle and fine granules of the powders
help to scrub away any dead skin cells without
leaving your face feeling raw or irritated!
This single ingredient step is a must do!
You can use either apple cider vinegar, green tea
or rose water soaked on a cotton pad or
sprayed directly onto your face.
The toner will help balance your skin’s
ph level, tighten your pores and leave your
skin feeling refreshed!
Help your skin soak in as much moisture
as possible with a DIY sheet mask.
Mix together 2 tbsps of glycerin, 2 tbsp of
chamomile tea and a couple drops of lavender essential oil.
Pour this onto a compressed sheet mask and let
your face absorb the goodness for 15-20 minutes.
The glycerin will help hydrate your skin,
chamomile tea repairs dry patches
and lavender soothes irritation.
The combination of these ingredients will
leave you feeling dewy and supple!
Now it’s time to lock the moisture in.
For a gel moisturiser simply apply some aloe vera gel
to your skin and pat it in gently.
Go for an ingredient like jojoba oil for some
luxurious oil based hydration or try a small
scoop of shea butter for a heavy, creamier moisturiser.
For an under eye gel that will lighten dark
circles and banish fine lines all you need
is 1 tbsp of almond oil, a few drops of vitamin E oil
and a tsp of aloe vera gel.
The almond and vitamin E oil are hero ingredients
in reducing signs of ageing and the aloe vera
gel will help provide some extra hydration.
We hope these amazing and easy steps get you
one step closer to flawless, smooth skin!
Until next time stay tuned and stay Glamrs.
